Giveaway! Win a Shakespearean Bookend

Storming K.M. Weiland

Here’s a little something extra to be thankful for this week. Welcome to Giveaway #4 in our month-long windup to the release of my dieselpunk-historical novel Storming. It releases next week on December 4th to the fanfare of the BIG Launch-Day prize, so be sure to stop back for the fun. But for now, you get the chance to win one more little beauty.

Who can possibly settle for boring bookends? Not a writer. (I admit to owning a few of those industrial, metal bookends, but only because I use them for drawer dividers not bookends. *shudder*) I ran across this adorably awesome little number on Etsy.

The Prize

Literary Bookend 3Literary Bookend 2
Literary Bookend 4 Literary Bookend

This one-of-a-kind book is, according to the shop:

Perfect for book lovers and crafted from old paperbacks, these make unique business card holders or a fitting bookend. Two can be set on end and used as a candle pillar for small votives, or as a literary decorative pillar all on their own.

The book pages are taken from Shakespeare’s plays.

  1. I have boring plastic L-shaped bookends that slip under the last 3 or 4 books in the row, but a beautiful bookend made from Shakespeare’s plays sounds like a much more exciting idea.

  2. “What’s something you’re using for a bookend right now?”

An old, Costco-sized coffee can. I was given it to use as a project or storage device, but haven’t gotten around to rehabilitating it. 😛

  3. I have no bookends, but my mom has some lovely ones that were hand crafted by my grandfather.

  4. Thank you for the effort, keep up the great work
    Great work.
