How about another prize drawing? I’ve been cleaning out my personal library and, instead of just passing the books on to the local Goodwill, I’d thought I’d spread the wealth.
If you’d like to enter to win one of six book bundles (Speculative, Historical, Inspirational Romance, Contemporary Fiction, Christian Living, or Writing Resources), leave a comment! I will announce the winner on Friday, April 5.
Thanks for the giveaway! Your writing advice is by far the most helpful out of all the blogs I follow. I’m excited about the writing resources and contemporary fiction.
Always on the lookout for more books. Count me in.
I love what you said in your blog about creating an antagonist your readers can relate to, even if its only on a small level. I struggled with my antagonist/villain for months trying to figure out why he was “bad” and what drove him to keep doing those things that wreaked havoc on my protagonist’s life. And finally inspiration struck and I got it! Anyways, I want to thank you for such helpful blogs. If writers like you didn’t provoke thoughts like relate-able antagonists in the minds of readers like me, I probably would have written a very disappointing villain and passed up a ton of potential for my novel’s plot. Thanks again!
P.S. Please count me in on the drawing! I’d love a bundle on writing resources.
Books! Such a great giveaway idea.I’m SO glad you didn’t give it to Goodwill.
G’day from an Aussie!
There are so many on the list I wonder how you will choose?
I am interested in the history bundle but being in Australia is a disadvantage for postage costs, so would be prepared to pay postage.
Thankyou so much for sharing such interesting gems of information and helping a whole lot of strangers.
I’m a new fan of your blog. In fact a new writer at age 77. A retired Coast Guard Captain, I finally listened to my daughter who kept urging me to “Dad, you’ve got to write those stories down.” One class (a workshop at the local college and lots of books like your “Outlining Your Novel” (my second favorite book for my novice efffort.) I enjoy your active blog. Lots of good hints. I did get one of my memoirs published in a college literary magazine.
Love your work
I love your daily questions, and I love contemprary fiction and writing resource books 😉

The Jane Eyre project is intereting. The structure, and main character arc is strikingly similar to that of Kathlenn Woodiwiss’s The Flame and the Flower, commercial romance. CHarles G Davis
I want a book bundle of yours, Ms. Weiland.
What a fantastically thoughtful idea to share the world of words! Thank you for all you share, far beyond the bundles 🙂
